The idea of Feena Khair - ‘My school, My responsibility’ program started in 2010 under the guidance of HH Prince Faisal bin Abdullah, Minister of Education. Collaboration was made between ALBAIK Food Systems, the Ministry of Education, and “Khawater”, to prepare an integrated program that encourages students in primary schools to keep their classrooms clean and healthy by allocating the last 15 minutes of the school day to clean and organize their classrooms. In its first year, the Feena Khair program included more than 50 schools in the Western Region, where more than 30,000 students participated. The following year, the number of schools increased to 100 with about 60,000 students particpating. This year, the decision was made by HRH Prince Faisal bin Abdullah, the Minister of Education, to implement the program across the Kingdom, covering 45 school districts, targeting 640 schools and over 400,000 students.
