ALBAIK gold sponsor for the third Human Resources forum in Jeddah
The 3rd Human Resources Forum was held at the Jeddah Hilton Hotel 1-3rd of October 2011 in response to the direction of The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to step up the nationalization of jobs in the private sector in line with new initiatives launched by the Minister of Labor.
The Central Department of Statistics & Information revealed that in 2010 the number of unemployed Saudis increased to 448,000, a rate of 10.5%, of which 44.2% are graduates holding a Bachelor’s Degree.
In view of these numbers, national organizations and companies have made the employment of Saudi nationals a priority and are seeking to create jobs in order to reduce unemployment.
With a firm belief in the forum’s goals and vision, ALBAIK supported the event as Gold Sponsor and also participated in the accompanying exhibition, making the most of the opportunity to answer delegates’ questions about the company’s job nationalization strategy and the implementation process.
This year, the forum looked at ways to advance the employment of Saudi nationals in the private sector and discuss the Ministry of Labor’s role in implementing King Abdullah’s directions. In addition the delegates discussed the practical mechanics of partnership and cooperation between the private and public sectors.
By participating in the exhibition, ALBAIK ‘s senior management team took the opportunity to share their experience with the owners and human resources managers of other companies, and also met with government leaders and officials for discussions about the new amendments to the Saudi employment system and their effect on the private sector.
Inspired by the vision of The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to activate a larger role for females in Saudi society, ALBAIK has raised the level of female employment and now has more than 200 women working in the factory.
Eng. Rami Abu Ghazalah, CEO of ALBAIK Food Systems Company Ltd., stated: “Our main goal is to continue searching for talented young Saudis who in our belief are the backbone of our beloved Kingdom. Our employment strategy is based on our deep sense of patriotism motivated by the visionary ideals of The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, who has made a priority of emphasizing the importance of implementing the nationalization of jobs.”
ALBAIK’s commitment to nationalizing its workforce includes offering training opportunities to team members in a friendly and encouraging environment that gives youth guidance and the necessary tools to help them make the right decisions and set them on the road to success.
